Job summary

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Electric Engineering, Software Engineering or similar.
  • Experience in steering (real-time control) of radar instruments is desirable.
  • Knowledge of functional processes architecture and internal command, control and telemetry interfaces of radar instruments or similar systems is desirable.
  • Experience with modelling & simulation tools (e.g. Matlab / Python) is an asset.
  • Experience in leading cross functional technical teams is an asset.
  • Experience with ECSS communication and interface standards is an asset.
  • Experience with Radar Payloads is an asset.
  • Fluent in English; German is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements for radar instrument operating modes, functions, control sequences, and real-time timing.
  • Define the radar instrument's functional architecture.
  • Define functional requirements for radar instrument units and modules.
  • Contribute to requirement specifications for radar instrument software.

Your tasks and responsibilities


  • Analysis of requirements for a radar instrument regarding required operating modes, functions, control sequences, and radar real-time timing.

  • Definition of the radar instrument's functional architecture.

  • Definition of functional requirements for the radar instrument units and modules.

Deine Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten


  • Analyse der Anforderungen an das Radar Instrument in Bezug auf geforderte Betriebsmoden, Funktionen, Steuerungsabläufe und Radar Echtzeit Timing.

  • Definition der funktionalen Architektur des Radar Instruments.

  • Definition der funktionalen Anforderungen an die Baugruppen (Units, Module) des Radar Instruments.

  • Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von Anforderungsspezifikationen für die Radar Instrument Software.

  • Definition von Anforderungen an die FPGA Firmware.

  • Definition der Strategie für die funktionale Verifikation auf Instrument Level.

  • Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Payload System Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware Design and Algorithm Engineering.

  • Entwicklung von operationellen Prozeduren (nominal und contingency).

  • Unterstützung der R&D Aktivitäten innerhalb der Abteilung bei der Planung und Durchführung.

  • Unterstützung bei Design Reviews mit Stakeholders, Kunden und Lieferanten.


Erforderliche Kenntnisse und Qualifikationen


  • Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Ingenieurwesen / Elektrotechnik / Informatik oder vergleichbare Qualifikation.

  • Erfahrungen im Bereich der Steuerung (Echtzeitsteuerung) von Radar Instrumenten wünschenswert.

  • Kenntnisse der funktionalen Abläufe, der Architektur, internem Command&Control und Telemetrie-Schnittstellen von Radar Instrumenten oder in vergleichbaren komplexen elektrischen Systemen wünschenswert.

  • Erfahrungen mit Modellierung und Simulationstools sind von Vorteil.

  • Erfahrung bei der Leitung von funktions- und abteilungsübergreifenden technischen Teams.

  • Erfahrung mit ECSS Kommunikations- und Schnittstellenstandards sind von wünschenswert.

  • Erfahrungen mit Radar Nutzlasten sind von Vorteil.

  • Fließende Englischkenntnisse, Deutsch ist von Vorteil.
