Job summary

DAS Technology Group in Austin, TX seeks a Radar DSP Engineer to build the signal processing behind our software-defined radar systems. You will work with raw radar data, develop detection and tracking algorithms, and run them on deployed hardware.

You’ll collaborate with RF, hardware, and software engineers, optimize for embedded CPUs, GPUs or FPGAs, and iterate based on measured results from field tests.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in digital signal processing and radar systems.
• Experience with raw radar or complex I/Q data.
• Understanding of FFTs, digital filtering, spectral analysis, detection and estimation.
• Experience developing radar detection or tracking algorithms.
• Strong C++ skills and Python or MATLAB for analysis.
• Experience building or optimizing real-time signal-processing software.
• Bachelor's or higher in EE/CE or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build real-time radar processing pipelines for drone detection and tracking.
• Implement range, Doppler, velocity, and angle-estimation algorithms.
• Develop adaptive detection methods, including CFAR.
• Reduce clutter, interference, noise, and false alarms.
• Develop beamforming, direction-finding, and array-calibration techniques.
• Train and evaluate ML models for classification and false-alarm reduction.
• Move algorithms from prototype to production, and deploy on hardware.
• Plan and run field tests to measure detection range and reliability.
• Collaborate with RF, hardware, embedded, and software engineers.
