3100 MH Community Care Association in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking a Rad Tech II responsible for operating radiographic equipment and performing diagnostic examinations. This position involves coaching student technologists and ensuring compliance with quality standards in radiology services.
The ideal candidate will have a technical degree in Radiology, requisite certifications, and 1-3 years of related experience in a clinical environment.
The Rad Tech II is responsible for operating radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic and other clinical exams as directed, while serving as a coach to student technologists. This role models appropriate behavior in line with MLH Mission, Vision and Values.
There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this job, except that the incumbent may occasionally demonstrate job responsibilities, observe, coach, and guide less experienced Rad Techs in the department.
The position requires medium work, exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently. Physical activities include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Good balance and coordination are required. Visual acuity (including color, depth perception, and field of vision) is necessary for patient assessment, data preparation, and computer use. Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact is expected.
