Wellstar Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients of all ages, under the supervision of Radiologists or Managers. You will contribute to high-quality images, patient safety, and compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Core duties include adhering to ALARA, assisting with procedures, and ensuring correct patient data and image post-processing. A strong focus on patient-centered care is essential.

Formación

• Certifications required upon hire unless stated otherwise.
• ARRT-R R Radiography certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Instructor or ARC-BLS acceptable.

Responsabilidades

• Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams for diverse patient ages in multiple settings.
• Adheres to ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Assists Radiologist with procedures and protocols as needed.
• Ensures accurate patient identification and post-processing of images.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. This position works under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to departmentprotocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self andothers. Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for technical quality, performspost processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded. Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all. Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique andhand washing policies. Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols. Other duties as assigned.
