Job summary

WellStar in Georgia seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform a wide range of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager.

Responsibilities include maintaining ALARA, evaluating image quality, ensuring patient safety, and assisting with radiology procedures in a fast-paced healthcare setting. ARRT-R and BLS are required upon hire; strong patient communication and service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Operate Diagnostic Imaging equipment.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with patients and staff.
• Provide excellent patient/customer service to all patients.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging and ALARA to minimize exposure.
• Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings.
• Evaluates images for technical quality and performs post-processing.
• Ensures proper Patient identification and care during procedures.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and hand washing policies.
• Assists Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. This position works under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to departmentprotocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self andothers. Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for technical quality, performspost processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded. Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all. Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique andhand washing policies. Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols. Other duties as assigned.
