Job summary

Garnet Health is seeking a per diem Radiologic Technologist to operate radiographic equipment and produce diagnostic images for patients of all ages across our Medical Group facilities in Middletown, Goshen, and surrounding locations.

Minimum education: accredited radiology program graduate; NYS license and ARRT registry within 3 months. 3–6 months on-the-job experience preferred. Shifts include 7:45a–8:15p with occasional evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Program.
• New York State License required; ARRT registry within 3 months of hire.
• 3–6 months on-the-job experience preferred.

The compensation range for the role is $ 38.94-43.67 hourly.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Program. (New Graduates must have a letter from the radiology program stating they meet graduation requirements and provide diploma within 3 months of hire if diploma is not available at time of hire)

Minimum Experience: Three to six months’ on-the-job experience preferred

Required Certification/Registration: New York State License required (New Graduates must have a temporary permit issued by NYS DOH as per NYS DOH Public Health Law Article 35 and obtain a NYS DOH License within 3 months from date of hire) and registry A.R.R.T. required. (New Graduates must obtain the ARRT registry within 3 months from date of hire).

Physical Requirements: Stands and walks most of the day. Positions, lifts, or assists in lifting patients on and off x-ray table. Pushes equipment weighing in excess of 100 pounds less than 50% of time. Requires visual effort and reaching to adjust controls and evaluates images most of the day.

Working Conditions:

• Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works inside, controlled exposure to elements of radiation, disagreeable odors, and infection. Wears protective clothing and film badge to control or detect exposure to radiation. Contact with patients, physicians, department employees and students.
• Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift 10 lbs.
• Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. May be subject to irregular hours including evenings and weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary.

Normal Working Schedule

PDM req. min. of 3- 12hr (7:45a-8:15p) shifts per month, 1 wknd shift, 1 major, 1 minor hlday, Middletown and Goshen.
