Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Manteca is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray, ultrasound or CT scanners and image designated parts of the body. You will position patients, prepare equipment and observe safety protocols in a busy hospital setting.

Applicants should have an Associate degree or equivalent and California Radiologic Technology certification; BLS is preferred. Experience with radiography and ultrasound modalities is valued, with rotating shifts and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• AS or equivalent preferred for radiology technologist.
• California Radiologic TechnologyCertification required/board eligibility as applicable.
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray and ultrasound or CT imaging equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
• Position and instruct patients, set up equipment, and adjust exposure parameters.
• Ensure hospital safety procedures and infection control are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Hours

Responsible for operating x-ray and ultrasound or CT scanning equipment to make images of designated portions of the body. Positions and instructs the patient for imaging exams, adjusts equipment and determines proper voltage, current and desired exposure time for each exam. Ensures all hospital mandated safety precautions are followed. Performs other duties as required.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

State of California Certification in Radiologic Technology, Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (preferred); If meeting ultrasound modality requirement, incumbent must be Board Certified or Board eligible with the Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. If meeting mammography modality requirement, incumbent must have State of California Mammographic Radiologic Technology license. Healthcare Provider BLS.
