Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton, CA seeks a Radiologic Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging across all ages.

You will operate fixed and portable radiographic equipment, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and clear communication with patients and healthcare teams. The role requires basic radiology education, CPR certification, and CA radiographer licensure, with preference for some experience in radiology and fluoroscopy.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Graduate of a Radiology Program.
  • CPR required.
  • CA Radiographer license required.
  • Less than 2 years Radiologic Technology experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fixed and portable radiographs ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Uphold mission and core values; participate in performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality imaging services.
  • Maintain patient privacy and modesty during care.
  • Identify and document Advanced Directives when present.
  • Report suspected abuse/neglect per policy.
  • Access Bioethics Committee as needed.

Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will help our patients and their families receive high-quality diagnostic imaging services across all developmental stages so they can achieve accurate diagnoses and better health outcomes.

Every day you will perform a variety of fixed and portable radiographs, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and understanding throughout the process. You will be expected to uphold the organization's mission and core values, actively participate in performance improvement initiatives, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong technical skills in operating radiologic equipment, a comprehensive understanding of patient care needs from infancy to geriatrics, and excellent communication abilities to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

  • Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
  • Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
  • Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
  • Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
  • Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
  • Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.
