Job summary

Dignity Health's California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles seeks a Radiologic Technologist to produce diagnostic images and support radiology workflow. You will perform X-rays, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI, while maintaining image quality and accuracy through proper patient positioning.

As part of a team, you will interact with patients to ensure a positive experience and follow safety and protocol standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from AMA approved school of radiology technology.
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT.
• CA Radiographer license (California).
• AHA Basic Life Support - CPR certification required.
• Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech, CA license/certification.
• Fire Safety training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic images to assist Radiologists in diagnosis.
• Perform diverse imaging exams: X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI.
• Ensure high image quality and accurate patient positioning.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel in this role, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Contributes to the positive image of the Radiology Department by communicating information in a factual courteous manner.
• Thoroughly understands required preparations in the examinations performed in the radiology department.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize priorities and deal with them promptly.
• Questions the patient before the exam to obtain a patient history.
• Always questions female patients as to whether they may be pregnant.
