Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Rad Tech Extern (Imaging Student Extern, PRN) to gain hands-on experience in a leading hospital within the HCA Healthcare network. You will prep patients for imaging, assist with positioning, transport patients, set up imaging rooms, and serve as a vital liaison between patients, technologists, and the care team, while upholding safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications include Basic Life Support, NCTR registry within 90 days of start date, and an Associate

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities and assisting with positioning.
• Safely transport patients between areas and support their comfort during procedures.
• Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover and organize supplies for a clean, safe environment.
• Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists and the care team.
• Participate in learning opportunities and follow safety and confidentiality standards.
