Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Radiology Tech PRN at Medical City Lewisville. The role involves performing quality diagnostic X-ray procedures, operating radiographic equipment, and processing images with strict adherence to radiation safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT-R Radiography and RT credentials, with either a Bachelor’s or an Associate degree in radiologic technology. No travel and no prior experience required, with a BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of start date.
• ARRT-R Radiography certification.
• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer credential.
• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in radiologic technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality diagnostic procedures accurately and promptly.
• Operate X-ray equipment and process images.
• Prepare equipment, supplies and medications as indicated for the procedure.
• Follow radiation safety protocols for all exams and ensure staff follow precautions.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Support department and hospital goals and provide services to all age groups.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Associate performs quality diagnostic procedures in an accurate and timely fashion. He/she operates X-ray equipment and processes image as required. Associate prepares equipment, supplies and medication as indicated for the procedure/exam being performed. He/she practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams and ensures his/her direct reports and other staff members follow the same precautions. Associate maintains safe environment for patients, co-workers and visitors. Supports and helps achieve the departmental and hospital goals. Provides services to all age groups (infant to geriatric).

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree
