Job Summary and Qualifications

The Radiologic Technologist must demonstrate understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology, maintaining high accuracy in positioning and exposure. Knowledge of radiation safety is essential. The technologist prepares and assists with radiologic exams, administers contrast media per regulations, and acts as a liaison between patients and physicians, ensuring compassionate care.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing appropriate care for diverse patient populations.
• Assessing patient needs across the lifespan.
• Educating patients and families.
• Delivering holistic, respectful care.
• Knowing equipment and procedures.

Qualifications required:

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT R.T. (R) certification or eligibility.
• Must obtain ARRT within 6 months if not certified at hire; failure to do so will result in termination.
• Preferred: 1-year post-grad experience.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
