Location: BHMG - Urgent Care Nicholasville

Position Overview:

The Medical Assistant (MA) / Radiologic Technologist (RT) assists staff and physicians by collecting pertinent patient information to assess physical and psychological needs, and performs radiographic exams using general equipment. The MA/RT functions as a vital member of the healthcare team, with responsibilities aligned with training and demonstrated competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Communicate effectively with patients to identify changes in health status since the last visit, including medication updates, and record information in the EMR.
2. Perform radiographic exams as required.
3. Maintain efficient patient flow through exam and treatment areas.
4. Assist physicians, ARNPs, and nurses with patient care, exams, tests, and procedures.
5. Accurately obtain and record vital signs, reporting abnormal readings promptly.
6. Perform clerical duties such as assembling patient education materials, assisting with nutrition and toileting needs, scheduling, and obtaining insurance authorizations for medications.

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience:

• Basic Medical Assistant training or experience.
• Rad Tech license or LMR.
• BLS certification required.
• Active AART and KBMIRT certifications.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Additional relevant qualifications include MA/RT, Rad Tech, LMR, MA/LMR, x-ray tech, Limited Medical Radiology, Rad Tech, and CT scan.
