Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital invites applications for a Radiologic Technologist. You will operate radiologic equipment to generate diagnostic images and provide patient care using various imaging modalities across neonatal to geriatric patients.

Graduate from an AMA approved program or JRCERT accredited hospital training; ARRT and BCLS are required upon hire. No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No prior work experience required.
• ARRT certification upon hire is required.
• BCLS certification upon hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs according to established standards.
• Provide patient services using imaging modalities across all age groups (neonatal to geriatrics).
• Follow imaging protocols and safety practices, including dose reduction principles.
• Provide patient education and communication per prescribed standards.
• Maintain competencies for all related radiology procedures.

Responsibilities

Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic radiographs and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices. Provide patient services using imaging modalities. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all radiological procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
