Corewell Health Proton Therapy Center in Royal Oak, MI seeks a Staff Physicist to support radiotherapy planning, QA and clinical service in a high‑tech proton therapy environment. The role involves hands-on validation, commissioning, and daily clinical operations using the ProteusONE system.

The Corewell Proton Therapy Center is a premier, well-funded research and clinical facility housing the world's most advanced single-room proton technology. Operating the IBA ProteusONE system—the first of its kind in the United States—the center has pioneered the transition to the world's first DynamicARC system (FDA pending). This rapid innovation offers medical physicists unparalleled, hands‑on experience across validation, commissioning, and everyday clinical operations.
The Staff Physicist works within the Department of Radiation Oncology. They report to the Chief of Physics and work under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Physics and Medical Physicist Ld. They perform and review all aspects of radiotherapy patient and equipment related planning and quality assurance. The primary responsibility of the Staff Proton Physicist is to assure the best possible treatment is provided to the patients in Proton Therapy Center. The Staff Proton Physicist responsibilities will include clinical service, research/development and education/training based on the assignments from the Chief of Physics and Director of Clinical Physics and Director of Clinical Physics, Medical Physicist Ld, Medical Director of the Proton Therapy Center and Department Chair.
