Job summary

Texas Health Kaufman is seeking a Rad CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT imaging in the Radiology Diagnostic Department. You will explain procedures to patients, position them accurately, and coordinate with schedulers and other modalities to ensure smooth workflow.

The role emphasizes teamwork, high-quality imaging, and adherence to safety standards, with opportunities to contribute to quality improvement and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification required upon hire
• CMRT certification required upon hire
• BCLS required prior to independent patient care and quarterly
• Associate's degree preferred for radiologic technologists
• Graduate of accredited radiologic technology program required or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures focusing on imaging quality and processing
• Explain procedures to patient or guardian prior to exam
• Position patient to the correct anatomical area of interest
• Coordinate with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities
• Engage in multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions
• Communicate respectfully with coworkers and other departments
• Identify and troubleshoot quality improvement opportunities

Here’s What You Need

• Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology is required Or
• Associate's Degree is preferred
• 1 Year radiologic Technologist experience w/out ARRT-CT is required or
• No experience w/ARRT-CT is required
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R Upon Hire is required And
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT (w/no radiology technician exp) Upon Hire is required Or
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT (w/1 year radiology technician exp) 12 Months is required And
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB Upon Hire is required And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
• Communication, computer, venipuncture
