Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Racquets Pro Shop Supervisor for the beautiful Barton Creek Country Club!

The Racquet Pro Shop Supervisor oversees daily operations of the Tennis Pro Shop, including retail sales, merchandising, inventory, reservations, and member engagement. Responsibilities include supervising and training staff, ensuring excellent guest service, supporting tennis programming, and maintaining high standards of operation and appearance.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and schedule staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent service.
  • Oversee sales transactions, monitor POS system accuracy, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Control inventory through purchasing, conducting monthly inventories, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Merchandise the shop with attractive, organized displays aligned with sales strategies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the shop and tennis facilities.
  • Respond to member and guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Manage reservations and organize game arrangements for members and guests.
  • Support tennis programs, leagues, and events, including ordering supplies and registering participants.
  • Coordinate with buyers and accounting to track inventory and manage stock documentation.
  • Prepare payroll and maintain accurate records for staff and operations.
  • Develop and update manuals, procedures, and checklists.
  • Assist with budgeting and purchasing within financial guidelines.
  • Foster a positive team culture, uphold service standards, and serve as a role model.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and support tennis and recreation operations as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of customer service experience, preferably in a resort or upscale club.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in retail, hospitality, or tennis operations.
  • Retail sales and merchandising experience is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with tennis operations and equipment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office, Birchstreet, OnTrack, Synergy, and tennis reservation software.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Professional, outgoing, and customer-focused demeanor.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Visual, auditory, and balance abilities necessary for job functions.
  • Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Moderate noise environment.
Certificates/Licenses:
  • None required; tennis or retail certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
