Job summary

Lakeshore Sport & Fitness is looking for a Director of Racquet Sports to oversee programming for squash, pickleball, and badminton across its Chicago clubs. In this role, you’ll develop clinics, organize member events, and lead a team focused on enhancing member experience.

The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of racquet sports management experience, strong financial management skills, and a commitment to safety. A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package are offered.

• Required lesson instruction training.

• Collaborate with the Member Experience Team to market racquet events.
• Conduct new member orientation into racquet facilities and programs.
• Ensure courts and facilities are maintained professionally and safely.

Job Summary

The Director of Racquet Sports oversees all racquet sports programming across our Chicago-based clubs, including squash, pickleball, and badminton for all age groups. They organize clinics and private lessons to boost participation and promote membership, acting as the club's ambassador to enhance value.

Day-to-Day

• Direct and manage the racquet sports department to meet financial and budget goals, ensuring revenue and profit objectives are achieved.
• Lead the hiring, coaching, mentoring, and education of all racquet sports staff, reinforcing club values and maintaining a service culture that exceeds member expectations.
• Organize and schedule member events, leagues, round‑robins, drop‑ins, ladders, tournaments, lessons, and other racquet events to motivate health and wellness.
• Develop and promote clinics, private lessons, and programs for adults, juniors, and seniors.
• Collaborate with the Member Experience Team to market racquet events and specials.
• Conduct new member orientation into racquet facilities and programs.
• Ensure courts and facilities are maintained professionally, aesthetically, and safely.

About You
