Kohler Co. seeks a Junior Development Lead to support tennis and pickleball programs at a premier resort. This onsite, part-time role combines coaching with program development to maximize court usage and member engagement.

The position involves commission-based earnings and an hourly administrative component, with weekends and weekdays hours. Strong communication and supervisory skills are essential to lead staff and coordinate activities for guests and members.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience at a high caliber club or resort.
• Maintain at least one nationally recognized tennis certification (PTR, RSPA).
• Recognizes a candidate with 5+ years experience. Commission level: 52%.
• Friendly demeanor and above average communication skills to interact effectively with members and the public of all ages.
• Prior supervisory experience or leadership role required in order to assist overseeing Tennis Pros and Racquet Sports Assistant.
• Recruit and manage sign up for youth and junior programs.
• Sanction and schedule USTA events of all levels for the club.
• Assist with staffing USTA events.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with department members.
• Conduct bi-weekly department meetings.
• Admin Code for administrative hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial and marketing plans to meet financial objectives. Ensure expenditures align with budgets.
• Plan, and facilitate private, semi-private, and group tennis and pickleball classes.
• Restring and regrip racquets and ensure quality service.
• Develop activity calendars and execute programs that maximize court usage for members, guests and public.
• Establish standards for tennis/pickleball instruction and ensure adherence by staff.
• Schedule, promote and run sanctioned and non-sanctioned tournaments for various levels.
• If trained, perform racquet stringing and grip services on a commission basis.
• Assist as ambassador for tennis and pickleball with local and national organizations.
• Champion year-round junior programs through lessons and clinics.
• Maintain records for all tennis/pickleball activity and reports.
