Job summary

SambaNova Systems is seeking a Data Center Deployment Engineer to join our field engineering team. You will own end-to-end deployment of SambaNova rack-scale AI systems at customer data centers, acting as the on-site technical authority to ensure power, cooling, networking, and infrastructure readiness.

Qualifications

• Hands-on admin experience with Red Hat Linux or rpm-based distributions in production environments.
• Experience with BMC/IPMI-based out-of-band management.
• Familiarity with data center networking and RoCE concepts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for rack deployments, ensuring site readiness (power, cooling, networking, data center services).
• Conduct pre-deployment site assessments and resolve issues before hardware arrives.
• Develop cooling plans for high-density compute with front-to-rear airflow.
• Validate data center power infrastructure (208V and 415V).
• Coordinate logistics with data center operators and customers.
• Validate customer networking, cabling, and switch details for AI workloads.
• Document deployment procedures and site configurations for internal and customer records.
• Communicate deployment status and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Assist with ongoing customer support at rack and system level.
• Provide input on future rack-level product design.
