Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking a Rack Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial rack refrigeration systems. You will diagnose complex issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operation of equipment across diverse facilities.

The role requires EPA refrigerant handling certification, relevant licenses, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Overtime, on-call shifts, and travel to client sites may be involved.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with rack refrigeration systems (commercial/industrial).
• EPA Certification required for handling refrigerants.
• Must have D1, D2, S1, or S2 license.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration rack systems and related components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance for optimal performance and longevity.
• Work with various refrigerants (e.g., R-22, R-404A, CO2).
• Respond to service calls with timely repairs and minimal downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and logs.
• Provide guidance and training to junior technicians when needed.
• Participate in on-call duties including nights and weekends.
