Job summary

SpaceXSI is rapidly advancing its data-center hardware stack, building high-density AI compute racks and bespoke cooling systems for scalable inference and training. You will own rack-level design from concept through production, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, optical, and firmware teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of professional electromechanical hardware design experience.
• Willing to work extended hours and travel.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and work in factory/datacenter environments.

Responsibilities

• Own rack mechanical, structural, and integration design.
• Integrate rack with compute, networking, power, and cooling.
• Support in-house manufacturing line design and fixtures.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for deployment.
• Produce CAD, BOMs, drawings, and build docs.
• Assist with first-site bring-up and field deployments.
• Collaborate on thermal, electrical, and network constraints.
