Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Hobbs, NM is seeking a Racing Valet to ensure horses and jockeys are prepared for each race. You will saddle horses, prep equipment, and help with attire, while representing the company at meetings and events.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 0–6 months experience with horses, English fluency, basic math, and the ability to obtain a state Gaming/Racing license. Multilingual candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and secure jockeys, equipment for each race.
  • Ensure horses are saddled properly.
  • Prepare jockey equipment before each race.
  • Ensure jockey attire for each race.
  • Assist jockey in unsaddling horses.
  • Provide professional representation at internal and external meetings and events.
  • Demonstrate abilities to meet performance expectations in key competencies.
  • Ensure guest interactions follow customer service guidelines.
  • Adhere to Corporate and local policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.

  • The Racing Valet is responsible for ensuring that the Jockeys, Jockey equipment, and attire are prepared and secured for each race in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that horses are saddled properly.
  • Prepare jockey equipment prior to each race.
  • Ensure that jockey is properly attired for each race.
  • Assist jockey in unsaddling of horses.
  • Provide professional representation at internal and external meetings and events.
  • Demonstrate abilities to meet performance expectations with Communications, initiative/Problem Solving, Guest Service/interpersonal Relations, Work Habits and Conduct, and Responsible Gaming/Business Ethics.
  • Ensure interactions with internal and external guests follow the guidelines of the customer service program.
  • Adhere to all Corporate and local policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.
