Job summary

Zia Park Casino in Hobbs, NM seeks a reliable facility cleaner to maintain jockey and racing area spaces, restrooms, and common areas with attention to safety and guest service. You will perform floor care, restocking, and trash removal while following company standards and PPE guidelines.

The role requires basic English literacy, the ability to work on a team, and provides an opportunity to support daily operations in a dynamic gaming environment. Prior cleaning experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Qualify for licensing with the New Mexico Racing Commission.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and promote cooperation between departments.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Read and interpret documents in English; written communication skills may be required. Multilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean all jockey, barn, and racing area floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators.
• Spot‑vacuum as needed.
• Clean, disinfect, and restock all restrooms in jockey, barn, and racing areas.
• Mop floors around bars, restrooms, and other areas as needed.
• Remove all trash and debris from jockey, barn, and racing areas; dispose to outside dumpster.
• Use cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
• Read, follow instructions, and understand visual aids.
• Interact with guests and provide service per company standards.
• Demonstrate ethical and cooperative behavior with guests, coworkers, and leadership at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department or management.

Physical Demands

Stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 75 pounds; bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance while performing duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
