Job summary

Ford Racing Chassis Team seeks an independent, empowered Chassis engineer to lead the chassis development on road vehicle programs. You will design, release, and deliver chassis components, manage QCWFT, and work with Purchasing to source materials.

You will coordinate with internal and external resources, ensure conformance to Ford Racing DNA, and develop innovative CAE analyses and test methods across multiple milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 2+ years chassis engineering experience with delivery of 1 completed program.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• 2 years of experience using CAD and/or visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, release, and delivery of Chassis components and systems for Ford Racing.
• Manage Quality, Cost, Weight, Function and Timing (QCWFT) to support GPDS milestones.
• Work with Purchasing to source commodities.
• Lead program delivery through various milestones.
• Lead FSS and/or other internal/external resources to deliver subject programs.
• Assure conformance to Ford Racing DNA and applicable Ford & regulatory requirements.
• Develop innovative solutions including design, CAE analysis, and testing.
• Support issue resolution and design change management during prototype build and launch builds.
• Interface with Core Chassis Organization and maintain collaborative relationships.
• Support current production and quality efforts.
• Support cost optimization efforts.
