Zusammenfassung

Ford Racing is seeking an independent engineer to lead brake hardware design for an upcoming off-road vehicle. You will drive the design, release, and delivery of brake components (calipers, rotors, lines/hoses) with a focus on performance and regulatory compliance.

You will guide a design team through GPDS-milestone delivery, partner with Purchasing, and develop CAE-backed solutions while supporting production and cost optimization.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Chassis engineering experience, including delivery of at least one completed program; body exterior or powertrain experience may also be considered.
• At least two years of experience using CAD and/or other visualization tools.
• Understanding of program delivery processes, including GPDS.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design, release, and delivery of brake hardware components and systems.
• Manage QCWFT to support program milestones.
• Work with Purchasing to source commodities.
• Lead program delivery through milestones.
• Lead design team and/or other resources to deliver programs.
• Ensure conformance to Ford Racing DNA and applicable requirements.
• Develop innovative solutions for performance vehicles including design, CAE analysis, and testing.
• Support issue resolution and design change management during prototype builds.
