Job summary

Ford Racing is expanding its Additive Manufacturing team to accelerate adoption of AM across racing and production programs. You will coach design and release engineers, guide AM readiness, and coordinate with external partners to deliver cutting-edge components.

The role involves collaboration with design, release, and architecture teams, and requires a strong practical background in AM and automotive product development. This is a hybrid US-based position with travel limited at first.

Qualifications

• Deep Practical Additive Manufacturing experience.
• Design for Additive Manufacturing.
• Build set-up including orientation, support development, and slicing decisions.
• Build execution including machine set-up and part production.
• Quality confirmation through post-build scans or measurements.
• Practical Design and Release experience for automotive components.

Responsibilities

• Coach D&R engineers to determine if AM is suitable and guide design for AM.
• Work with D&R engineers and Architecture team to target systems for AM in upfront stages.
• Coordinate efforts with program and functional teams for externally led projects.
• Communicate program requirements (functional, timing, financials) to external partners.
• Travel limited initially to site visits; more travel possible if desired.
