Job summary
Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races is seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance worker to care for lawns, plants, and exterior areas around our racetrack campus. You will operate mowers, edgers, trimmers, and related equipment while assisting with snow removal and grounds upkeep.
Required: 18+, a valid driver’s license, 1 year of maintenance experience, ability to read English safety rules, OSHA certification, and WV Racing Commission licensing eligibility.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with annual DMV checks.
- Must have 1 year maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpret English safety rules and manuals.
- Must be able to qualify for a West Virginia State Racing Commission License.
- OSHA certification on machinery used by Track Maintenance.
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in varied conditions.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork in a busy outdoor environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain lawn and grass using mowers, edgers, and trimmers.
- Rake and maintain leaves, plants, flowers, trees, or shrubs.
- Clean up trash in parking lots/garages and exterior grounds.
- Assist in snow removal and cleanup.
- Operate equipment such as power washers, sweeper truck, and tractors.
- Deliver and transport materials around the racetrack and barns.
- Report problems with machinery to Motor Pool and maintain equipment.
- Support all areas of the department as needed.
