Spire is seeking a Setup Specialist to prepare and set up race cars using COM/ROMAR arm systems, ensuring optimal suspension, chassis and component configurations in a fast-paced racing environment.

The role includes developing setup procedures, performing measurements with CMM and LIS, and collaborating with race engineers and crew to implement race-day setups. Candidates should be detail-oriented and mechanically skilled.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NASCAR experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with automotive tools and equipment.
• Prior experience as Car Chief preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Set up all cars using COM/ROMAR arm system per engineering specs.
• Develop and document processes for detailed car builds.
• Create and maintain the setup process for ROMAR arms.
• Perform quality checks with CMM, wheel and aerodynamic measurements.
• Utilize LIS for precise measurements and setup validation.
• Tear down and reassemble sway bars and arms as required.
• Strip cars of lead components and restock for road crew use.
• Assemble, adjust and fine-tune suspension, chassis and related parts.
• Collaborate with engineers and crew to implement race-day setups.
• Maintain setup documentation and measurement records for each car.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup or mechanical issues.
• Prepare race vehicles for dyno testing and post-dyno procedures.
• Assist with installation of underbody components after dyno testing.
• Ensure tools and workspace are organized and safe.
