Job summary

Beech Mountain Resort is seeking motivated individuals to join the Race Timing Staff who will set up and operate timing equipment for ski and snowboard races. You will record and post race results and communicate with officials, participants, and staff to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and basic computer skills including data entry in Excel/Google Sheets. Weekend, holiday, and peak-period availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Experience with timing systems or race events is a plus.
• Proficient with data entry and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Able to work in varying weather conditions.
• Must lift and set up timing equipment as required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be available weekends, holidays, and during peak periods.
• Reliable transportation for snowy/winter conditions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down timing equipment for races.
• Operate timing systems during ski and snowboard races.
• Record and post race results accurately and promptly.
• Communicate with race officials, participants, and staff to ensure smooth race operations.
• Assist with data entry and reporting for race results.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot timing issues during events.
