Job summary

SRAM seeks a Race Manager to select and manage investments in road, gravel, triathlon, and cyclocross racing, leading a global team of race technicians supporting pro teams and athletes at the highest competitive cycling level.

The role involves developing and negotiating athlete contracts, coordinating with product stakeholders, and driving budgets and cross-functional activation of sponsorships. Travel up to 40% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing, Communications, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in Sports Marketing, Communications, or a similar field.
• 3 years of experience directly managing a team, or related management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build and execute global sports marketing strategies.
• Extensive knowledge of the global bike and race industry.
• Exceptional written, oral, and public speaking communication skills.

• Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and influence teams in a cross functional, global workplace
• Experience with budget analysis and planning
• Strong bicycle mechanic skills, including the ability to perform a complete assembly of a race bike
• Proficient with MS Office
• Working Conditions:
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40 percent of the time, including weekends
• Ability to stand at events for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds / 20 kg
• Ability to ride a bike to accomplish objectives
• Compensation and Benefits:
• Starting salary range: $100,000 up to $150,000, based on skills and experience. For candidates based in Schweinfurt, Germany, salary will be commensurate with experience and local market pay standards
• Annual corporate bonus eligibility based on company and individual performance
