Job summary

NASCAR in Concord, NC seeks an experienced Computational Fluid Dynamics and Aerodynamics Engineer to lead CFD initiatives from CAD through post-processing, deliver detailed reports, and support wind tunnel testing for research, development and new vehicle submissions.

You will manage aero programs with TotalSim USA, maintain CFD models for NASCAR’s three national series, assist with wind tunnel prep and data analysis, support vehicle submissions, and collaborate across internal and external

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with CFD tools and aerodynamics concepts is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CFD initiatives from CAD creation through post-processing.
• Produce analytical reports and support wind tunnel testing for R&D and vehicle submissions.
• Lead aero program in collaboration with TotalSim USA and manage CAD-to-post-processing requests.
• Maintain CFD models for NASCAR’s three national series, supporting performance eval and thermal studies.
• Assist with wind tunnel testing, vehicle prep, prototype part fabrication and data analysis.
• Support the new vehicle submission process.
