Job summary

Rittal LLC in Houston, TX is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble, modify, and package products per customer specs and quality standards. The role requires mechanical aptitude and accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will read blueprints, use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives with a team. Competitive pay and benefits offered; safety PPE provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and products by following work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
• Perform deburring and painting operations as required.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet quality standards.
• Modify Rittal products to meet specific customer requirements.
• Package finished products for shipment or further processing.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 6‑S and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support workflow.
• Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred

Experience

• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring/inspection equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the shift
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs to waist level and up to 25 lbs above shoulder level
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities

Safety Requirements

• Safety‑toed footwear
• Safety glasses with side shields
• Additional PPE as required

Work Environment

• Warehouse and manufacturing settings
• Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise typical of an industrial environment
