Job summary

Friendship Village Retirement Community in Waterloo, IA seeks an RA (personal care provider) to compassionately assist residents with daily living activities and medication management. You will help with bathing, dressing, and mobility while fostering a respectful, family-like atmosphere.

The role requires a caring, honest, and hardworking individual open to every shift, including weekends/holidays, with a focus on resident well-being and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass medication manager course within first 3 months of employment
• Applicants are required to pass pre-employment screenings including background checks, drug test and TB test

RA - Personal Care Provider

Do you love working with the elderly? If you are passionate about providing loving care and assistance to seniors then we have the position for you. Join our team as an RA (personal care provider).

Friendship Village is looking for dedicated, loving individual to provide care and assistance to our residents. In this position you will help residents with bathing, toileting, showering, dressing, cleaning accidents and managing medications among other tasks. You will build friendships with residents that goes far beyond resident and care worker, you become family. To be successful in this position you must be open and honest at all time. Be dedicated and hardworking individual that is willing to come to work for each assigned shift regardless of the weather and is persistent on getting the work done.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Every other weekend and holiday availability
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass medication manager course within first 3 months of employment
• Applicants are required to pass pre-employment screenings that could include: Criminal background checks, Abuse registry check, Drug test, Physical, and TB test.
