Job summary

SystImmune, Inc. is seeking a Research Associate II for an onsite role in Bothell, WA. You will perform high-throughput molecular biology workflows, design mammalian expression plasmids, and support protein expression and cell line development in a fast-paced team.

The job requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of lab experience; ddPCR/qPCR experience is preferred. SystImmune offers a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on lab experience in molecular biology.
  • ddPCR/qPCR experience with assay design and data analysis preferred.
  • Liquid handler/automation experience is a plus.
  • Experience with next-generation sequencing workflows is a plus.

  • Collaborate to support cloning and construct generation for protein expression and cell line development.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize molecular workflows to improve efficiency.

  • Maintain lab organization and inventory of reagents and supplies.

Job description

SystImmune is a leading and well-funded clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company located in Bothell, WA and Princeton, NJ. It specializes in developing innovative cancer treatments using its established drug development platforms, focusing on bi-specific, multi-specific antibodies, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). SystImmune has multiple assets in various stages of clinical trials for solid tumor and hematologic indications. Alongside ongoing clinical trials. SystImmune has a robust preclinical pipeline of potential cancer therapeutics in the discover and IND-enabling stages, representing cutting-edge biologics development. This is a full-time onsite position in Bothell, WA.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and high-throughput molecular biology techniques, PCR, digital droplet PCR (ddPCR), restriction endonuclease digestion, Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate Assembly, bacterial transformations, and plasmid purification.
  • Design mammalian expression plasmids and cloning strategies for proteins and multi-specific antibodies.
  • Collaborate with team members to support cloning and construct generation for protein expression and cell line development.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing molecular workflows to improve efficiency and throughput.
  • Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain lab organization and inventory of reagents and supplies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.
    • Research Associate II requires bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of industry experience.
    • Senior Research Associate requires bachelor’s degree with 5+ years or master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on lab experience in molecular biology techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) and/or quantitative PCR (qPCR), including assay design and data analysis, is strongly preferred.
  • Liquid handler and automation experience are a plus.
  • Experience with next-generation sequencing workflows is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Compensation and Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s level qualifications, experience, and skills.

While most offers typically fall within the low to mid-point of the range, we may extend an offer toward the higher end for exceptional candidates whose background and expertise exceeds the requirements of the role.
