Job summary

KIT Custom HomeBuilders is seeking a framer for the Sidewalls Department in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will build and position wall components, read measurements, and use carpentry tools to ensure accurate framing and safe assembly.

The role offers full-time hours, training on-site, and regular weekly pay with benefits including health coverage and 401(k). Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous framing, construction, or carpentry experience preferred (will train the right candidate).
• Ability to read measurements and use basic construction tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

What You’ll Do

• Build and assemble sidewall framing components for manufactured homes
• Set and position sidewalls onto units as part of the production process
• Measure, cut, and install wood materials according to specifications
• Install sheetrock as needed and secure work to meet applicable codes and standards
• Use hand tools, power tools, and nail guns safely and efficiently
• Use ladders safely and work on rooftops as needed to complete assigned tasks
• Ensure all framing and setting work meets quality and production standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals

What We’re Looking For

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Week 1 (Training): 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• After Training: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Overtime available (paid at 1.5x)
• Occasional Saturdays based on production and staffing needs

Pay & Benefits

• Starting at $24.00+/hr. DOE
• Weekly pay (Fridays – one week in arrears)
