Job summary

Hadrian in Los Angeles is advancing a new welding capability in a fast-moving R&D environment. As an R&D Welding Technician, you will build and qualify welding processes, test articles, and large structural assemblies, hands-on with hand welding, orbital tube welding, and robotic welding cells.

You will read engineering drawings, GD&T, and weld symbols, document builds for qualification and traceability, and support the ramp of the new capability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with laser and arc welding.
• Experience with orbital tube welding.
• Experience operating robotic welding equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T.
• Comfort in a first-of-a-kind R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld qualification test articles and large structural assemblies.
• Perform hand welding using both laser and arc processes on first-of-a-kind hardware.
• Set up and execute orbital tube welding operations to spec.
• Operate and support robotic welding cells, including setup and troubleshooting.
• Read and build to engineering drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T, and maintain build documentation.
