Advantage Technical in Carlsbad, CA is hiring an R&D Test Technician to support testing of catheter-based medical devices in a fast-paced lab. This onsite role works with R&D engineers to perform mechanical, electrical, and functional testing of components and assemblies.

Candidates should have an AA or equivalent, at least 1 year of lab experience, and familiarity with tensile testing, microscopy, electrical measurement tools.

  • AA or equivalent in a technical field.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on testing or lab experience.
  • Experience with tensile testing equipment, microscopy, electrical measurement tools, or similar laboratory instrumentation.
  • Ability to work independently and follow technical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct development and design verification testing of medical device components and assemblies.
  • Perform tensile, flex, torque, balloon fatigue, burst, and catheter functional testing.
  • Set up and operate semi-automated test equipment and fixtures.
  • Accurately collect, document, and report test data following established procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop and improve test methods and setups.
  • Follow quality standards, technical instructions, and testing protocols.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and data management.

Now Hiring: R&D Test Technician

Location: Carlsbad, CA

Pay Rate: $36.00/hour

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

We are seeking a detail-oriented R&D Test Technician to support the testing and evaluation of innovative medical devices in a fast-paced research and development environment. This onsite role partners with R&D engineers and technicians to perform mechanical, electrical, and functional testing of catheter-based devices and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct development and design verification testing of medical device components and assemblies.
