Job summary

Scholar Rock, Inc. is seeking a Director of Research and Development Technology to lead IT strategy across R&D, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Safety. You will drive the lifecycle of IT systems and spearhead the Laboratory of the Future, incubating AI, robotics, and data science in a global operating model.

The role reports to the CIO and requires partnering with senior leaders to align technology with scientific priorities, ensuring secure, scalable platforms and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/DS or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership in biotech or pharma.
• Proven track record delivering IT strategies across R&D, Regulatory, and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT strategy for Development IT across R&D, CMC, Regulatory, and Safety.
• Translate biology and regulatory needs into a multi-year digital roadmap.
• Partner with senior leaders to accelerate decisions, improve compliance, and reduce cycle time.
• Own technical architecture across Development digital ecosystem including research, preclinical, and operations.
• Define standards, data models, and interoperability across scientific, regulatory, safety, and enterprise systems.
• Lead delivery governance, validation, and risk management for Development IT initiatives.
