Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field with 2+ years of plant manufacturing experience in meat processing or equivalent.
• Master's degree in Food Science or related field considered qualified in lieu of experience.
• Strong scientific knowledge of meat and other ingredients; able to work with pilot plant equipment with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in online work systems and product development software tools.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development and commercialization from bench to full scale, refining formulations to enhance quality.
• Conduct pilot plant tests, document findings, and coordinate product reviews for evaluation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and support prototypes.
• Maintain project files, formulations, specifications, and ensure compliance with USDA/FDA regulations.
