Job summary

ManpowerGroup Global, Inc. seeks an R&D Technician/Engineering Technician to join a Fortune 500 client in San Diego, onsite only. The role focuses on research, lab testing, and prototype development with attention to documentation and compliance.

The position runs 4+ months with an 8am to 5pm shift and a pay range of $32–$38 per hour on W2. Candidates must be able to work without sponsorship and contribute to cross-functional efforts.

Qualifications

• Laboratory and tooling experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical contexts.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow schematics and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of mechanical or electro-mechanical materials, devices, assemblies, sub-assemblies, systems and products.
• Maintains detailed documentation through all phases of development, testing and analysis.
• Builds or assembles prototype materials, components, subassemblies and assemblies.
• Constructs, operates, troubleshoots, calibrates and tests equipment, systems or products.
• Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
• Reviews or develops processing or manufacturing instructions.

Pay Range: $32/hr to $38/hr (On W2)

We are looking for a “R&D Technician/Engineering Technician“ to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of mechanical or electro-mechanical materials, devices, assemblies, sub-assemblies, systems. and products.
• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Performs a variety of duties in the electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, chemical, or optical areas.
• Builds or assembles prototype materials, components, subassemblies and assemblies.
• Constructs, operates, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, maintains and tests equipment, systems or products.
• Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
• Performs tests, analyzes data and writes reports; 6. Reviews or develops processing or manufacturing instructions.
• Maintains detailed documentation through all phases of development, testing and analysis.
• May assist in the transfer of technology and/or contribute in cross-functional discussions regarding device performance allegations.
• Bachelors degree with 4-6 years experience.
