Job summary

KPMG is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice in the United States. The role involves conducting R&D tax credit consulting, leading client interviews, and translating technical software development activities into tax definitions.

You will work with cross-functional teams and engineers to ensure findings comply with current tax law, including Section 41 guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering, MIS or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Java, C, C++, C#, or similar and SQL knowledge.
• Experience engaging senior technical management and architects to gather requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D Tax Credit consulting engagements with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Interview clients and translate technical software activities into tax definitions.
• Summarize technical findings and develop narratives using industry terminology.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure findings align with current tax law (Section 41).
• Interact with client personnel to convey complex concepts clearly.
