Job summary

Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC), a Textron Systems division, seeks a seasoned R&D Tac Air Fighter Pilot to lead evaluation of fighter aircraft for ATAC’s fleet. This role reports to the Director of R&D and supports upgrade programs for U.S.

Navy/DoD customers. The candidate must be a previously qualified DoD fighter pilot with Top Secret clearance, Test Pilot School graduate, and 700 PIC hours; experience with AESA radar, HMCS, and EO/IR sensors preferred; 5+ years in fighter systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field (required)
• Test Pilot School graduate (required)
• 8+ years of industry and government experience in fighter aircraft mission and radar systems integration, test and evaluation (required)
• Former military service (required)
• Active Top Secret clearance (required)
• Ability to attain and maintain Special Access Program clearance requirements (required)
• Defense Acquisition University coursework in Test & Evaluation, Systems Engineering, Logistics, Acquisition, Risk Management, and/or Intellectual Property & Data Rights (required)

Responsibilities

• Research existing fighter aircraft for cost-effective integration.
• Assist with drafting RFPs to industry or foreign governments.
• Evaluate aircraft acquisitions or modernization upgrades to meet CAS requirements.
• Assist the R&D Senior Manager with integration of EO/IR sensors, EW equipment, AESA radars, HMCS.
• Develop and manage systems-level requirements for avionics, sensors, and systems.
• Assist the Capture Manager with proposal development and content editing.
• Assist program managers with requirements derivation, management, verification and validation.
• Assist aircraft program managers with Test & Evaluation planning and execution.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field

Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business related field
