Job summary

Textron’s ATAC division seeks a seasoned R&D Tac Air Fighter Pilot to lead research and evaluation of fighter/attack aircraft for ATAC’s fleet. You will report to the Director of R&D and support fleet upgrades for government contracts.

Requirements include DoD fighter pilot experience, flight leadership, and an active Top Secret clearance. You will collaborate across program managers and capture teams to craft technical solutions and proposals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
Master’s degree in engineering or business preferred.
Test Pilot School graduate or equivalent experience required.
8+ years in fighter aircraft mission and radar systems integration, test and evaluation.
Active Top Secret clearance required.
Former military service required.
Ability to attain Special Access Program clearance.

Responsibilities

Research existing fighter aircraft for cost-effective integration into ATAC fleet.
Draft Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for industry or foreign governments.
Evaluate aircraft acquisitions or upgrades to meet CAS requirements (Navy/Marine Corps/AF).
Assist with integration of EO/IR sensors, EW gear, AESA radars, HMCS on ATAC aircraft.
Develop system-level requirements for avionics, sensors, and systems.
Support proposals, strategy, writing content and editing work of others.
Assist PMs with requirements derivation, management, verification and validation.
Assist with Test & Evaluation planning and execution.
