Job summary

Textron Systems' ATAC program seeks an experienced Fighter Pilot at Pt. Mugu to provide adversary training support for Navy, Marine and Air Force aircrews. Candidates should hold a DoD tactically trained fighter pilot background with PIC hours and a current FAA Second Class Medical.

Responsibilities include mission planning, briefings, flight operations, and post-flight debriefs across ATAC adversary sorties with global deployment readiness and a potential scheduling/standards role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a DoD tactically trained fighter pilot.
• Qualified for 4-ship/division flight lead roles.
• 700+ hours PIC in fixed-wing DoD fighter aircraft.
• 100 hours PIC at night.
• Recent 100 hours PIC within past 12 months.
• Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
• FAA Commercial, Airplane SEL Privileges.
• Secret security clearance; US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Employ ATAC fighter aircraft as surrogate adversary for US Navy/Marine/USAF aircrews.
• Maintain FAA instrument currency and Second Class medical certs.
• Attend mass and adversary coordination briefings; plan and fly adversary missions.
• Complete flight debriefings and mass debriefings; follow rules and maneuvering restrictions.
• Collect and disseminate lessons learned from missions.
• Complete ground training prior to flights; deploy as required for missions.
• Support pilot scheduling, training, NATOPS/standards and safety duties as needed.
• Perform additional duties as needed for mission support.
