Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Cleared Senior/Principal R&D Systems Engineer for All Source Technical Analysis, onsite in the United States. The role focuses on all-source technical analysis of evolving nuclear weapon threats and involves interaction with the national security community to assess foreign capabilities and develop technical assessments.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five years of related experience, with active DOE Q or DOD

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience.
• Active DOE Q or DOD TS clearance is required to start, with ability to obtain SCI (may include a polygraph).
• Graduate degree in Engineering or related field is desirable.
• Experience leading teams in a scientific/technical environment and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform all-source technical analysis of evolving nuclear weapon threats for the US.
• Produce written assessments to advise senior government officials.
• Collaborate with Sandia teams to address urgent needs and define future opportunities.
• Inform decision makers with threat assessment briefings and trainings.
