Job summary

Bracco Medical Technologies in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op for R&D Sustaining. The role supports ongoing product development, design improvements, and lifecycle activities to ensure medical devices meet specifications and regulatory requirements.

As a co-op, you will work 40 hours per week during Spring/Summer 2027 with 2–3 semester rotations, learning procedures in a regulated medical-device environment and building professional networks within Bracco’s R&D teams.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or junior standing pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
• Major in Mechanical, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics.
• Minimum 2.8/4.0 cumulative GPA.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without future visa sponsorship.
• Able to participate full-time (40 hours/week).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with cross-functional teams.
• Team player with strong verbal and written communication.
• Technical writing skills to develop protocols and reports for design changes.

Responsibilities

• Support sustaining engineering efforts for design evaluation and process capability.
• Assist with test fixture design, troubleshooting, and qualification of test methods.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to enhance performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Analyze technical data to support test methods and improvements.
• Define staffing needs and generate documentation for manufacturing processes and protocols.

Education

Sophomore/Junior standing (Bachelor’s)

Engineering major (Mech/Aerospace/Biomedical/Engineering Mechanics)

GPA 2.8+
