Job summary

HM.CLAUSE, a Limagrain business unit, is seeking an R&D Station Administrative Support to coordinate administrative and operational activities for the Davis and Dixon Research Stations. You will handle domestic shipments, international tissue shipments, maintain records, and support internal communications and station events.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting research and business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Office Administration, Communications, Agriculture, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in administrative support, office administration, customer service, or related role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a variety of administrative and operational activities to support the Davis and Dixon Research Stations.
  • Assist with domestic seed shipments, international plant tissue shipments, and maintain shipment records.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The General Administrative Support position is responsible for coordinating a variety of administrative and operational activities that support the Davis and Dixon Research Stations. Responsibilities include assisting with domestic seed shipments, international plant tissue and document shipments, maintaining shipment records, supporting internal communications, coordinating station events and visits, assisting with recruiting and onboarding activities, and supporting safety and continuous improvement initiatives. The position serves as a key administrative resource and point of contact for employees, visitors, and external stakeholders. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting research, operational, and business objectives. The position may also provide backup support for selected international seed movement activities in coordination with the Regional Seed Movement Coordinator.

  • Supports domestic seed shipment activities for Davis and Dixon research stations, including shipment logistics and documentation.
  • Provides support and backup to the Regional Seed Movement Coordinator for selected international seed shipments.
  • Coordinates the shipment of plant tissue, seed, documents, and other research materials, both domestically and internationally, ensuring compliance with applicable procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains accurate shipping and receiving records, including the SHIELD seed movement system, and reports discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
  • Serves as a liaison for Human Resources, Communications, and other corporate functions to facilitate the distribution of key internal communications.
  • Coordinates and supports community engagement initiatives and develops communications such as newsletters and employee updates monthly.
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates station events, including field days, training sessions, employee meetings, educational tours, and visits by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assists with recruiting and onboarding activities in partnership with Human Resources, including interview coordination, new hire orientation, and site-specific training.
  • Supports station management with meeting planning, scheduling, logistics coordination, and internal communications.
  • Coordinates conference rooms, audiovisual resources, and meeting support services, working with IT as needed to troubleshoot issues and provide user assistance.
  • Maintains administrative records, reports, and documentation to support station operations.
  • Assists with purchasing activities, accounts payable administration, budget tracking, and vendor communications as requested.
  • Promotes a safe work environment by actively participating as the Local Safety Committee and supporting site safety initiatives.
  • Supports continuous improvement projects and administrative process enhancements across the Davis and Dixon stations.
  • Serves as a resource for employees, visitors, and external contacts by responding to inquiries and directing requests appropriately.
  • Provides general office and administrative support to ensure efficient station operations.
  • Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Station Manager.

Education and Work Experience

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, Communications, Agriculture, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in administrative support, office administration, customer service, or a related role.
  • Experience coordinating logistics, events, communications, or operational support activities is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
