Job summary

Golden Boat Lifts is seeking a SolidWorks Drafter to join our R&D team in Florida. You will create 3D models and detailed drawings for new boat lifts and docks, driving concepts from idea to build-ready parts and assemblies.

You will collaborate with drafting and production teams, revise designs based on testing and standards, and help ensure parts fit and perform as intended. This role emphasizes independent project work within a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• One year of SolidWorks experience required; R&D experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support new product development: turn ideas for new boat lifts, docks, and product improvements into detailed models and drawings.
• Create in 3D: model parts and assemblies and prepare drawings for prototypes and production.
• Improve designs: revise models and drawings based on feedback, testing, and production standards.
• Collaborate with production to ensure drawings are understood and parts fit and work as intended.
• Prepare clear reference materials: layouts and illustrations to aid understanding of products.
• Keep files organized: maintain drawing files, product information, and the engineering database.
• Keep projects moving: gather information, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Support the team by following company standards and assisting with related tasks as needed.
