Job summary

SSAB is looking for a Research Analyst to support R&D efforts by conducting technical investigations and preparing samples. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and troubleshooting equipment in a laboratory environment.

Ideal candidates will have an associate's degree or equivalent experience, along with preferred experience in manufacturing and SEM operation. The position requires a team-oriented approach and flexibility for travel, including some international work.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the operation of SEMs and analytical techniques, such as EDS.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision in R&D laboratories.
• Assist in analyzing results and report findings.
• Oversee the Scanning Electron Microscopy Lab and maintain SEMs.
• Conduct service jobs from start to finish.
